Last week, Mexican star Javier "Chicharito" Hernández accepted another award for his outstanding play. According to Fox News, Hernández won the prestigious Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award by fan vote on Manchester United's website. Hernández has been invaluable for Manchester United by scoring 20 goals during his first season with the club. With the help of Hernández, ManU has won the Premier League and reached the Champion League final.
"Chicharito" or "Little Pea" was humble in his response accepting this award, he said, "I have to say thank you so much to the fans...They have helped me a lot. I think this was a difficult decision to make and I don’t think I deserve it because it hasn’t been just one player who has played well. We are a team."
However, all this attention on Hernández has come with a downside for ManU as it has drawn the eyes of international clubs who wish to add "Chicharito" to their arsenal. It will be interesting to see where Hernández takes his already distinguished career.
