Christian Bermúdez, commonly known as "El Hobbit", is a Mexican footballer who plays as a midfielder for Atlante he made his debut with the national team on April 16, 2008. Bermúdez is a very skillful midfielder, who can play as a forward and a midfielder. He has come to be known as "The Hobbit" because of his short stature.
During the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, Bermúdez, and four other members of the Mexican National Team, tested positive for the banned substance of Clenbuterol and were withdrawn from the team's tournament squad. However, later tests revealed that no performance enhancing drug was purposely taken.
