Vanessa Zambotti-Barreto (born March 4, 1982 in Parral, Chihuahua) is a judoka from Mexico. Zambotti is one of the best judoka in heavyweight category. Her biggest advantage is her size and experience in Judo.
In 2004, during the Athens Olympics, she won her first match against Tsvetana Bozhilova from Bulgaria but lost her second match against Barbara Andolina from Italy.
At 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing Zambotti was a medal hopeful for Mexico as winner of Pan American Games from previous year. But in her second match she was matched against a former Olympic champion from Athens, Maki Tsukada. She lost this match taking 9th place overall.
Recently Zambotti received the silver medal at the 2011 Pan American Judo Championships. Many consider her as a heavy favorite to medal in the upcoming 2012 Olympics.
