Saul “Canelo” Alvarez Looks Ready for Alfonso Gomez During Public Workout

Young world champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is ready for his fight against Alfonso Gomez. Alvarez showed his speed and power in a public training session at the Westside Boxing Club in Los Angeles, California.

The Mexican star is already in fighting shape and only 3 pounds over the weight limit of 154 pounds. As the crowd looked on during the workout, Alvarez completed 10 rounds of shadow boxing, skipped rope, hit the heavy bag, and the speed bag.

“I am very motivated, I respect Alfonso Gomez, he knows what I have and I know what I have, so it is just a matter to step into the ring and follow the game plan and win the fight,” said a very confident Alvarez.

Regarding the main event fight between Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz and the possibility of stealing the show on September 17th Canelo said “It that happens it will be big for me, it is very important for my career but I know that Floyd and Victor are tremendous fighters and it should be a very tough fight, I will only do my job and make the people happy,” concluded the WBC super welterweight champion of the world.”
