Xolos Throw Away Lead Against Atlante to Finish Even at 1-1.

Xolos de Tijuana failed to build on their first home win of the season, throwing away a 1-0 lead in Cancun en route to a 1-1 draw with Atlante. Jose Sand put Xolos up late in the first half with a strong half volley off a feed from Javier Yacuzzi. As has too often been the case with Tijuana, though, it threw away the lead in the second half as Oscar Rojas took advantage of some sloppy defending to tuck in a shot at the far post. While mathematically alive in the playoff race, the draw ended any realistic hope of a late surge to the playoffs, which was the team's stated goal prior to the season. Tijuana has now gone 2-2-4 (W-L-D) in games in which it has led.
