Born in HermosilloMexico and now a resident of Phoenix, Urbina-Soto begins the long road to compete in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

She will be representing Mexico in her quest for the gold. As a legal resident of the United States, Urbina-Soto has a passion for boxing and her native Mexico, she has been boxing for over 5 years. She has over 40 wins and has to travel great distances to compete due to the lack of competition in her area, a problem many female amateurs face.

Urbino-Soto is a crafty boxer who is patient and has great skill in the ring. She recently won a championship belt at the Gene Lewis Invitational Boxing Tournament, a premier tournament held annually in MesaArizona. The tournament brings some of the best amateur boxers in the Southwest in a 3-day event.
