On September 17th, Victor Ortiz will, after dramatically winning the title from the previously undefeated Andre Berto in a fight regarded as a Fight of the Year Contender, fight the former "number one" pound-for-pound best boxer in the world, Floyd Mayweather Jr., in one of the most eagerly anticipated boxing matches of 2011. The fight will be for Ortiz's WBC Welterweight title. Ortiz will be Mayweather's first challenger in 16 months.
