The UFC's No. 1 heavyweight Cain Velasquez made the trek to the Sport Science lab to measure Cain's punching, takedown, and kick power. This was filmed prior to Velasquez's matchup against Brock Lesnar.
Velasquez suffered a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder during his fight with Lesnar at UFC 121 and is expected to be sidelined for at least 6–8 months. Surgery on the shoulder was successful and Velasquez plans to return as early as Fall 2011.
Velasquez is expected to make his first title defense against Junior dos Santos, with a target date of November 19, 2011.
