Guadalajara defeated Monterrey 2-1 to overtake Unam Pumas at the top of the Apertura standings on Saturday.
Cesar Delgado put Monterrey in front after 24 minutes only for Marco Fabian to even the score four minutes later.
Darvin Chavez was sent off just before the hour mark and Guadalajara took full advantage, winning it through Alberto Medina's 78th-minute effort.
